First week of college

The night before the first day of college I had mixed emotions, I was dreading waking up early and going to school, but I was also excited to start this new chapter in my life and be able to meet new people. I woke up the morning before school more excited than ever, but deep inside me I had some fear. I knew where all my class were and what buildings were what. I was confident that I knew what I was doing

On Monday I walked into my chemistry lecture thinking, it's the first day of college it won't be too bad; little did I know he wanted us to read over the syllabus, go over a few things, and then introduced himself. After that he started to lecture. Since I haven't been in a in person class since March 2020, I was still stuck in the high school phase. It was pretty stressful and overwhelming my first week of college with having notes on top of notes, and homework due every Sunday, and maintaining a job.

My first week of college has taught me that school isn't a joke anymore and I can't procrastinate my way through things anymore. In college you have to stay on top of your work if you want to make it through. College professors don't care anymore if you miss class or don't do your work; they aren't worried about what you do and don't do. It's up to me to stay on top if everything if I want to graduate on tine.
